Some Highlights

So we had a great time on our tours today in Bejing but I must say...our hearts and minds are entirely with Lily.  We just want to get on that plane to Zhengzhou and get her.  But we are grateful too...to have this opportunity to learn about the China culture and bring that home to us and her.

So...here are some quick highlights... with pics (pics may take a minute to load if shows blank)

**   Dale towers over EVERYONE.  Here he is as we enter Tiananmen Square

**  Here we are inside the Forbidden city.  Lots of military around...see the guy to the right in green?

**  But my favorite was the "rickshaw" (sp?) that took us in the back city areas where all the real living is going on.  You truly see how these people live and then they took us to a local family home and they cooked for us (arranged by agency so we trusted that! just so you know mom :)  The food was excellent.  The space is so small!  See below for more pics.  So interesting! So REAL!

Gotta sign off for now.  Heading off to street market with all the weird bugs on a stick  (it's safe mom) then mall and dinner with the other families.  They are super nice!  xoxo
